FFX PARKINGLOT
Student safety must always be our first concern. Since school start-up, a number of
issues have arisen in our school parking lot during peak hours. This has resulted in an
ongoing, unsafe situation for students, staff, bus drivers as well as parents in our
community. Unfortunately I have no choice but to close our school parking lot as per
the following:
Father F. X. O’Reilly Catholic School parking lot will be closed effective Tuesday,
September 19, 2017 until Thursday, June 28, 2018 during peak times.
Morning drop-off 8:45 to 9 a.m.
Afternoon pick-up 3 to 3:20 p.m.
This difficult decision was made after careful consideration and several
correspondences home to families. We are making this change with the safety and
best interest of our students in mind.
If you must drive your child to school, please use alternate parking at Foodland,
Tottenham Community Centre or Laverock Street as previously suggested. The school
parking lot will be closed and monitored closely - only school vehicles will be permitted
entrance during peak periods.
Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation as we work together to keep our
children safe at all times.
